About Akamind
Facts page · last updated: September 2026
Akamind operates internet infrastructure and the software that runs on top of it.
Akamind Inc. — legally AKAMIND INC, a Delaware corporation — is a United States company. It runs its own mail transfer agent and manages its own addressing, routing and DNS in-house, and it builds products on that layer rather than reselling somebody else's. The position is that the company operating the product should also operate the network underneath it.
What Akamind builds
- Oveyon
- transactional email · in operation
- Rivva
- smart links · routing live
- Agent platform
- agent management · announced, not launched · 2026
The agent management platform is not available yet. There is no demo, no trial, and no purchase path. Akamind indicates 2026.
How the network is run
- Mail transport is operated by Akamind, so queues, retries, sending reputation and reverse DNS are configured by Akamind rather than by an upstream provider.
- Addressing, routing and DNS are managed in-house, by the same organisation that operates the products.
- Services are built to be reachable over IPv6 and are addressed on nibble boundaries.
Origin
Akamind's founder built the hosting company KingHost in 2006 and spent twelve years operating infrastructure for its customers — through growth and through attacks — until KingHost was acquired by Locaweb in 2019.
Akamind also operates its own editorial properties, including masculinemindset.com.
